What is it like to be a writer, director, storyteller, and woman in the film industry? How does the past, current, and potential future climate of filmmaking look for women working and teaching in the field? Join a panel of filmmakers as they discuss their experiences finding, creating, and telling stories.

Danni McClellan, a writer and director of short films who also works as an assistant director on feature films.

Andrea Claire Morningstar, an Emmy nominated documentary filmmaker and radio producer.

Jasmine Rivera, a director, writer, producer, actor, and a 2014 Kresge Arts Fellow.

The panel is moderated by Jennifer Proctor, filmmaker, media artist, co-founder of EDIT Media (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Teaching Media), and Associate Professor of Journalism and Screen Studies at University of Michigan-Dearborn.
